Summary of Experience

Over Forty years of experience in project planning, scheduling, and cost control. Fields of Experience include Buildings & Infrastructure, Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Transportation, Power, Wastewater, and other Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects. Included working domestic and overseas in both Design Offices and the Sites, developing, reviewing, and mentoring all phases of projects from Study phase, Front End Engineering Design (FEED) to Detailed Design, Procurement, Construction, and Commissioning with international Owners, Consultants, and EPC Contractors\ from 2 million to 20+billion worth of projects.

Major duties and responsibilities included:

  • Establishing Project Duration for Capital Projects in the Business Plan

  • Entering and analyzing SAP project historical data

  • Reviewing Monthly Progress Reports for all Active Projects

  • Preparing Narrative Analysis to the Vice President of Project Management

  • Establishing and reporting Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for Project Management

  • Performing Earned Value (EV) Analysis on selected projects

  • Reviewing Detailed Contractor Prepared Schedules, Manpower, and  Productivity

  • Bench marking Studies both within and outside Aramco (CII & IPA, & CERA)

  • Supervising a number of Cost / Scheduling Engineers and developing competencies

  • Conducting research on New Initiatives in Project Management Practices

  • Conducting PEP & Schedule Optimization Workshops

  • Implementing Best Practices in Project Management

  • Analyzing Contractors Claims and Participating in Negotiations

  • Writing and updating Project Controls Manuals & Procedures

  • Teaching courses and conducting seminars and workshops on Project Controls to over 300 Engineers every year for 11 years

Sr. Project Control Consultant
Apr. 2011 – 2015

SADARA-Project Olefins Envelop including HP Low Density Polyethylene & Mixed Feed Cracker Plants, a mega-project Ethylene  Plant (JV Dow Chemical/Saudi Aramco) with Basic Design by Technip USA in Claremont California and Detail Design by Daelim in Seoul, South Korea, Tecnimont, Milan, Italy, SCEl, Manchester, UK and Construction Site in Al-Jubail, Saudi Arabia. Duties included planning and monitoring project’s Level 3 schedule and cost control, trending, earned value analysis, risk management, funding process, change management, and preparing weekly highlights, weekly & monthly reports, claims analysis, key Performance Indicators (KPI), cash flow forecasting, manpower & productivity analysis, as well as participating in weekly/monthly progress meetings and negotiations on contractor claims.
